What Helping Hands Books Is All About

Welcome to Helping Hands Books! Helping Hands Books is a social venture dedicated to contributing money to the field of youth development. By donating a percentage of my profits to youth programs, I hope to assist as many young people as I can in achieving their dreams.

I have been an eBay seller since 2000, and a collector/treasure hunter since I was in elementary school. Currently I'm a full time social work professor and a part time treasure hunter. Not only do I buy and sell books and other media, I'm always on the lookout for treasures wherever I go. I love being able to rescue items that were destined for the trash heap, and then find them new homes with people who will appreciate them.

Helping Hands Books helps fund youth development initiatives (through cash donations to teen centers, youth music programs, youth art programs, teen mentor programs, classroom projects, etc.), promotes literacy (through book donations to prisons and correctional facilities, as well as day care centers and underfunded classrooms and charter schools), and supports various income-based non-profits in our area (through the donation of books and other media to Goodwill, Salvation Army, Nana’s Attic Thrift Shop, etc.).

With the help of my awesome customers, as of December, 2022, I've been able to generate over

$30,000 for amazing charities! :)

Helping Hands Books is my hobby social venture dedicated to supporting community and youth development. It's often said that the future belongs to the young. Unfortunately, youth development programs and social service agencies that help young people seldom have sufficient funding.

By contributing a percentage of our sales to community and youth programs, we hope to assist as many young people as we can. We all know that it takes a village to raise a child, and by capitalizing on the value of used media, my family and I aim to do our part.
